Katee RIP

Katee, a Border Collie mix, was found pregnant, walking the streets of Ft. Stockton, TX. A Western Australian Shepherd Rescue member found her and thought she was special. Katee ended up in Guffey, and Terri, Dr. Volz’s  Practice Manager, introduced her to me. I adopted her on July 28, 2019. I had recently lost my long-time Therapy Dog, Zack.

She has got her CGC, CGCA, and CGCU Titles. As a member of the Alliance of Therapy Dogs, she visited nursing homes in the area and was a regular at DayBreak.

As the Mascot for the Pet Food Pantry, she helped raise donations for the Pet Food Pantry to make sure that no one had to give up their "Best Friend" because they could not afford to food for their pet. She is no longer by my side but she will always be in my heart! Below is a photo of Katee that shows how energetic she was and how much she loved playing with her friend Baylee. She developed an aggressive form of liver cancer. She was only 5 years old.
